This interdisciplinary project connected different modules and departments of the various faculties of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Ostwestfalen-Lippe. The competences of the respective fields of study were used to design, develop and plan to realize a 1:1 pavilion structure on the ‘Innovation Campus’ in Lemgo. Hereby the students in the module were taught on the basis of experimental computational, detail and architectural design development in strong consideration of the feasibility of the project. For this purpose, the modules of MID specializations ‘Facade Design’ and ‘Computational Design’ (FB1) School of Architecture and Interior Design in Detmold cooperate with the program of ‘Wood Technology’ (FB7).

Scale Model. Marina Spanou.

The goal of the project ‘Liquid Campus’ was to design and implement an experimental, mobile pavilion structure as a central spot for exchange and various student activities. In this project, a wood-based construction system with a weatherproof skin was developed in order to create an ‘open space’ for meetings, workshops, cultural events or even sports activities, that promotes student life at the ‘Innovation Campus’ in Lemgo.
