Amanda Jardim

COMPUTATIONAL DESIGNER | GRETAS


Amanda graduated in 2019 from MID-CD with the thesis topic Synthetic Agents: Data mined activity patterns for an activity-based travel demand model. The thesis is part of a joint project with Maximilian Müh. Originally from Brazil, Amanda now works as a computational designer at Gretas GmbH, a spatial research and consulting company based in Cologne.

Amir graduated from MCDC in 2017 with the thesis topic Computational Mesh Geometry and Architectural Construction. Originally from Iran, he now lives in Munich, where he works in the Architectural Design and BIM Coordination at BKS&Partner Architekten.

Danny Suh

Originally from South Korea, Danny continued living in Germany after the master and works in the Application Technology field of Kömmerling Chemische Fabrik GmbH. She graduated from IFDC in 2017 with the thesis topic Acoustic windows, active noise cancellation.

Julian graduated from MID-CD in 2019 with the thesis topic Stadiomat | conceptual stadium layouts and sightline analysis. He now lives in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, where he works as an architect with focus on BIM at Splietker Baugesellschaft mbH.

Maan Balela

With the thesis topic Consumer-driven facade design strategy, Maan Balela graduated from IFDC on 2014. He moved back to his home country, Saudi-Arabia, where he works today as Lecturer in the field of Architecture/Facade at the King Abdulaziz University.

With the thesis topic Tangible agents: A tangible user interface for an activity-based travel demand model, Max graduated from MID-CD in 2019, in a collaborative project with Amanda Jardim. He is now a Research Associate at TH-OWL, working in two different research projects: MonoCab and Living Lab Essigfabrik.

Mouhand Abobakr

HEALTHCARE ARCHITECT


Mouhand graduated from IFDC in 2017 with the thesis topic Design study of different facades for various zones of hospitals and rehabilitation resorts. Originally from Siria, he lives today in Kuwait, working as a healthcare architect in an advanced technology company.

Onurcan Sabri Kurt

Onurcan graduated in 2018 from MID-CD with the thesis topic Biodegradable Architecture with Mycelium-based Biocomposite Materials: A Compostable Catenary Vault Design. Originally from Turkey, today he lives in Frankfurt am Main, where he works as a 3D CAD Design Engineer at Imagine Computation GmbH.

Pavel Furtsev

With the thesis topic Generative agent-based design, Pavel graduated in 2019 from MID-CD. He left his home country Kyrgyzstan to move to Detmold for the master, where he still resides today, working as an Engineer for BE+Nord and ClipHut.

Originally from Bangladesh, Mizanur graduated from IFDC in 2018 with the thesis topic Refurbishment of New Belgrade “Mass Housing” Envelope: Evaluating the Potential of Daylight with Shading Integrated Adjustable Facade. He moved back to his home country, where he works today as Principal Architect in Aerie Patio.

Tomas graduated from MID-CD in 2018 with the thesis topic Concept for intelligent facade configurator. Originally from Venezuela, after the master he remained in Detmold to work as Senior Computational Designer for Schüco.
