On Tuesday Nov. 13th Peter Dahnke, CEO of Ellermann GmbH, will present selected works of the company with textiles in architecture. The company creates fabric membrane structures for trade shows, events, facades and interior architecture. The lecture will take place at 11:30 am in Room 4.303 at the Bülowblock (building 4) at the Detmold School for Architecture and Interior Architecture.
The post front pictures shows the ceiling area of the old monastery church in Dargun was equipped with a pointed roof after a fire. However, it was hoped that the old form would be restored. Ellermann realised this vision for the city of Dargun in close cooperation with beyer architects by covering an aluminium construction with an acoustically effective textile and thus reconstructing the shape of the original ceiling ship. Especially in connection with the installed lighting an impressive picture is created. The project won the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Construction Prize in the category “Construction sum up to 1,000,000 €”.
